From a very young age I have always had a real passion for food and cooking. I mean, food is amazing! My food philosophy is all about utilising nutrition dense wholefoods to nourish your body and make you feel great from the inside out.
For me my relationship with food hasn’t always been plain sailing. My passion for food was sadly hindered in my teenage years as I went through quite a torturous relationship with my body; depriving, binging and controlling every morsel. This had massive impact on my relationship with food.
In my process of recovery I began reading again, learning and experimenting with my cooking. I realised that food wasn’t a thing I should be afraid of, but in fact quite the opposite; I realised that food and nutrition is the most important factor in controlling the human body and its functions. I learnt that our body needs the right fuel and regular maintenance to achieve its true health potential. My curiosity with food and its effects on the body lead me to study Human Nutrition at University.
Over the past few years I have really started to listen to my body, look after my body and give it exactly what it needs. I have enriched and indulged my body with whole foods and gradually started to fall back in love with food, life and most importantly myself.
My intentions are to make simple but scrumptious foods that are as easy to prepare as they are to demolish! I will be experimenting with healthy dishes, but also some not so healthy dishes for all my fellow sweet toothed friends. I have an incredibly sweet tooth, and I love to bake! So I am hoping to try to develop some delicious, but not so naughty treats so that we can all indulge in a sweetness overload from time to time.
